TACTICAL APPREHENSION PROGRAM – (T.A.P.) LEVEL 1

Our comprehensive approach integrates the latest in Trapdoor Tactics™ for teams or persons tasked with apprehending violent offenders. These tactics are fundamentally based on precision, risk assessment, enhanced communication, reduced operational footprint and safety.

The course will teach students to merge Open-Area Apprehensions, Vehicle Containment Techniques, Environmental Manipulation, NFDD’s, Less Lethal Munitions and Actionable-Intel. The students will combine all these skill sets while in a multi-layered and compressed training environment designed to challenge them.

Bishop One’s goal is to equip your personnel with the tools necessary to effectively apply tactics to enhance your team’s performance while lowering the need for force applications, community disruption, and critical incidents. This course will be an extension of the T.A.P. Level 1 and will contain live fire scenarios. Attendance of the T.A.P. Level 1 course within the previous six months will be a pre-requisite.

About The Author

Chris began his law enforcement career three decades ago in Canada. After gaining invaluable experience there, he moved to the United States and served 27 years with the Phoenix Police Department. During that time, he worked in various assignments, such as patrol, undercover crim/syn operations, federal weapon and narcotic trafficking task forces and air support. In his final seven years, Chris led the Department’s undercover Tactical Apprehension Team and was responsible for the development of their ongoing training program. During this period, he oversaw hundreds of dynamic tactical operations involving the capture of dangerous offenders using Trapdoor Tactics™, a system he co-developed with Bishop One’s lead trainer, Kris Marrero.  Retiring in 2022, Chris Penned “Why Here, Why Now?™ – Assessing Risk Without All the Clutter”© and currently leads Bishop One LLC  as its founder.
